David W. Berner is a journalist, documentary producer, writer, and teacher. He writes frequently about literature, music, broadcasting, golf, and teaching. He has penned thousands of articles and columns for Travelgolf.com and Sun Publications, Media Life magazine, and Feedback, and has written and produced several audio documentaries including Finding My Kerouac, which has been aired on dozens of public radio stations across America. The audio documentary was made into a film in 2007. David produces Travelgolf.com This Week - a weekly podcast for the website, and works for the CBS radio station in Chicago as a freelance reporter.

In 2009, his book - Accidental Lessons: A Memoir of a Rookie Teacher and a Life Renewed - is due out from Strategic Publishing.

David is also an assistant professor at Columbia College Chicago teaching writing, documentary, and radio news production.
